Miles Morales returns: here’s what’s in store for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse

The Spider-Man universe brings us a new film. If we can think back, we can clearly remember that Miles Morales broke through time and space to travel through alternate universes and met his peers to fight Kingpin. We are referring to Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse.

Undoubtedly, it broke with the classic animated movies and took us to a world never seen before. Although now everyone is waiting to see the third installment of this saga, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, to close the supposed trilogy.

In this supposed last installment, Miles Morales will have to stop Sport and his plan to end the multiverse.

About more details of the movie we know that producer Amy Pascal confirmed that Spider-Man 4 and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be the next releases of Peter Parker.

What’s in store for the third animated Spider-Man movie?

Initially we had the date of March 29, 2024 marked on the calendar for the release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, but, as they say out there, sometimes plans are like cobwebs: they tangle and fade. In 2023, Sony surprised us by announcing that the film had been removed from the release schedule due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes that shook the industry.

It’s not all bad news. The dynamic duo behind the successful Spider-Verse franchise, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, will return for Beyond the Spider-Verse. What does this mean? Well, we can almost be assured that the film will maintain the epic quality of its predecessors.

Oh, and here’s the exciting part: both Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be closely connected. Back in 2021, the screenwriters revealed to us that they had a lot of ideas to cram into one movie. So, like good plot weavers, they decided to split the story into two parts.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has no release date yet, but it could plunge us into another whirlwind of dimensions, where Miles Morales faces his own reflection, now turned into Prowler. But that’s not all: Gwen Stacy and the rest of the team are in a race against time to save him.

Meanwhile, Miguel O’Hara, the Spider-Man of the future, struggles to maintain the coherence of the Multiverse. And we can’t forget Spot, whose growth seems to be taking a terrifying turn toward the unimaginable.

But wait, there’s more: Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker, Spider-Ham, Spider-Punk, Pavitr Prabhakar and Spider-Byte also return to action. What do you think?
