God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla and Kratos’ detail with Atreus confirming his change as a character

God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla has surprised everyone with several details of Kratos ‘ past and his development as the main character of the game. In fact, the DLC being free content for those who have the game, has been a runaway success during these days.

Kratos has undergone a brutal change since 2018′s God of War, and with Ragnarok it was more than confirmed that he had changed as ever for character, becoming a father instead of a cold vengeful killer.

Kratos’ Journal tells everything

What we can see in God of War ‘s journal is that Kratos thinks about Atreus a lot, worries about him and from time to time it comes to his mind. Which makes it clear that for the first time in a long time, our mythical god of war, seems to have found something to worry about and protect.

Which definitely confirms the character change to a much more paternal and protective version, instead of the aggressive and reckless Kratos of the first games. And if you ask me, it’s a more than welcome change to continue deepening the saga.
